To help ensure the health and safety of the public and to help limit the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19, the District of Lillooet has made the decision to close the REC Centre and Municipal Hall.

The REC Centre will be closed and all programs postponed or cancelled effective 12:00 noon, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice. Note that outdoor activities are encouraged to maintain personal wellness and the public are welcome to enjoy our parks, fields and trails, but we urge all citizens to follow the instructions of Federal and Provincial Health Authorities regarding maintaining adequate distance from each other, frequent hand washing, and other mitigation measures.

The Municipal Hall will be closing its doors to the public at 4:30 pm Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice. You are welcome to continue doing business with the District via telephone at 250-256-4289 and email at info@lillooet.ca during regular business hours.

District staff will re-assess the situation at the end of the month and periodically thereafter, and notify the public about any decision regarding re-opening these facilities.

For the time being, other municipal services will remain active. District staff will continue to monitor the situation and implement provincial orders and recommendations as they are released.
