NEW CCR-Wildfire Recovery Rebate Meeting

October 01, 2018
Thanks to a partnership between Community Futures and Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT), small and medium sized businesses in the our region now have easier access to professional consulting services to help strengthen their business.
Recognizing the challenges that the region is facing in the wake of the 2017 wildfires, Northern Development Initiative Trust has relaxed the terms of its Competitiveness Consulting Rebate (CCR) program and developed a customized program to encourage more businesses take advantage of it.  This is a great opportunity for business owners who want to expand, grow or improve their operations.
The new CCR-Wildfire Recovery Rebate component provides a rebate of 75 per cent up to a maximum of $15,000 for the cost of hiring a professional consultant or consulting firm to assist business owners in addressing key areas of their business so that they can become more competitive. The program has also been expanded to include businesses engaged in agriculture and ranching, retail, tourism, and hospitality.
The special rebate is only available to businesses in Northern Development’s CaribooChilcotin-Lillooet region, or the Central Coast Regional District The Competitive Consulting Rebate for the Wildfire Recovery program is intended to help small and medium sized businesses implement strategies to attract customers, market a business, recruit employees, and improve profitability.
Eligible projects include, but are not limited to, such initiatives as:
• Marketing plans and programs
• Cash flow and financial management systems
• Human resource strategies, including employee recruitment and retention
• Inventory management
• Process improvement
A meeting will be held at the Reynolds Hotel (Pub) on Wednesday, October 3 at 9 – 10 am. Renata King from NDIT will be on hand to give information regarding the program and answer any questions. We are asking that all small businesses attend if you are able. Breakfast will be provided for attendees.
Please let me know if there are any questions. Please forward this information to any business owner to whom this may be of interest.
